This holiday season we collaborated with Diaspora Co., a single-origin spice company dedicated to building a better spice trade. Together we curated a special, limited edition kitchen candle with notes of bay leaf, cardamom, clove, and peppercorn.

The iconic Diaspora glass spice jar was upcycled and repurposed to pour a spiced coconut soy candle we call, Ghar Ka Khana, which, in Hindi and Urdu translates to "homecooked meal." In all its rich, fragrant glory, this candle is meant to evoke feelings of comfort and memories of meals shared around the table. Did we mention it's the absolute *perfect* hue of pale yellow? Limited editions available.

I actually love this candle. I’ve gotten almost all the candles that Kishmish make but this one happens to be my favorite. The candle smells delicious. I saw the write up for this company in the New York Times and bought a few to try and then ended up buying the rest as well. Highly recommended.

Wonderfully subtle candle!

This is one of the most wonderful candles I have ever had--delicious, subtle warm spicy scent, and VERY long lasting (I have used mine for many hours---no wax is lost within the glass jar because it re-solidifies between uses). I love it!

Best Kitchen candle

I originally purchased my first "ghar ka khana" candle last year as i could not think of a more appropriately titled kitchen candle- I had a few sceptics for the scent profile but I truly loved it! and when it came time to replace it, i looked around but nothing could beat the look and scent of "ghar ka khana" for my kitchen- so onto round 2 and couldn't be happier!
